A nursery school program for Bedouin children of working mothers
Operated in partnership with local municipalities and community leaders, the Parents as Partners program has 20 early childhood nurseries employing 40 women and caring for 300 children aged 1 to 3. With daycare options often lacking in the Bedouin community and fewer than 20% of Bedouin women working, this project allows mothers the chance to pursue careers.
Bringing games and learning to marginalized Bedouin children
“AJEEC on Wheels” is a specially equipped bus that serves the unrecognized villages, bringing educational games and activities to children in need. The project includes games, such as backgammon; supplies for drawing and painting; balls and other objects for sports; children’s books; and small play items such as balloons.
